Her Story

Pip trained at The Cordon Bleu Cookery School in London and went on to have a successful career in catering. She eventually became Head Chef at Lenton House, a stately manor in Nottingham which is owned by Boots. She catered for the Directors and their guests, which from time to time included members of the royal family.

Eventually Pip opened her own Tea Rooms by the river in Newark, Nottinghamshire, called the Lock Keepers Tea Rooms. Here she established a fine reputation for her fabulous homemade cakes and afternoon teas (even though she has never been a drinker of tea or coffee!) and the Lock Keepers gained popularity within the local community.

His Story

Eamonn trained locally with Chef Patron Remy Bopp. After his successful apprenticeship, he began working at The Cavendish Hotel in Baslow on the Chatsworth Estate, and became one of the youngest Sous Chefs in the country at the age of 19. Here he won the prestigious title of Master Chefs of Great Britain, Young Chef of the Year and was later to be recognised as a full member as he is today.

Eamonn also won the “Acorn Young Achievers Award” run by The Hotel & Caterer magazine. He went on to work at Splinters Restaurant in Christchurch, Dorset, with lifelong friends Tim and Robert (now owners of The Captains Club Hotel & Spa). Returning to his home town of Derby he embarked on a career in high-end event catering, with clients including Rolex, Coutts Bank, BMW and Aviva.
